Apple has rolled out iOS 4.2.6 for Verizon iPhone which is a bit strange considering the fact that 10th February is scheduled to be the day on which CDMA iPhone will hit the retail stores. But since the Cupertinos have released the iOS firmware, there might be a reason for this which is what we discuss after the break.
Another thing that’s worth mentioning here is that Apple has been doing some tweaks and improvement for the CDMA iPhone specific iOS. If you remember, back in January, when Verizon announced the iPhone, it was running iOS 4.2.5 and not iOS 4.2.6.
Coming to the Why Apple posted it early? question. Well, journalists and bloggers have received review units from the Cupertinos in the past, so that could be one explanation. Do you have any other explanation you would like to share?
